The purpose of the Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) Committee is to evaluate the relative safety, efficacy, and effectiveness of prescription drugs within a class of prescriptions drugs and make recommendations to the state on the development of the Washington State Preferred Drug List.
Meeting Schedule
The P&T Committee meets every other month to discuss current evidence based drug reviews provided by the OHSU/EPC.

Committee Selection Criteria
To meet federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) requirements applying to Health & Recovery Services Administration (HRSA) programs, the state P&T Committee will also be fulfilling the role of a Drug Utilization Review Board. To comply with federal and state requirements, membership criteria was developed.
P&T Committee Plan of Operations
This Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee, its officers, members and any committees or working groups acting on behalf of the Committee shall recognize, observe and be bound by the provisions of this Plan of Operation and Bylaws.
